The conservation of energy has become one of the areas that all of us can participate. No longer is it financially prudent to allow our energy resources to go to waste. Sun River Electric encourages our members to weatherize their homes.
Universal Systems Benefit Program (USBP) dollars collected by the cooperative through our members bills, fund this energy saving program. SREC members that meet the qualifying levels will be eligible for weatherization improvements to their residence. The funds expended do not require reimbursement by the qualifying member.
Energy saving practices such as insulation, window replacement, weather stripping and furnace repair or replacement qualifies under this program.
