Members that heat their homes with electric appliances as their primary heating source are eligible for the electric heat rate program (October through April). The discount is 3 cents per kWhr.
The heat rate program requires the member to put a second meter on the outside of the house to isolate the heat load usage from the remainder of the house electric usage.
SREC will provide a meter base and the second meter at no cost to the member however all other wiring costs will be paid by the member. For more information, call Mike at the SREC office, 406-467-2526.
